UPDATE: Police: Marshfield man found dead in Walmart bathroom

MARSHFIELD (WAOW) -- Marshfield Police say the body of a 33-year-old Marshfield man was found in a bathroom stall inside a Walmart store.

Police tell us the body was found at 3:00 a.m. Tuesday.

An autopsy was being performed Tuesday, and the Marathon County Medical Examiner's office was involved with the death investigation, Lt. Darren Larson said.

The name of the man was not released pending notification of relatives, Larson said.

Dianna Gee, a spokeswoman for Walmart at its Bentonville, Ark., headquarters, said it appears no foul play was involved.

A maintenance worker at the store discovered the body, she said in a telephone interview.

We are going to work with law enforcement as they investigate,” Gee said. “It is an unfortunate situation. Our thoughts and prayers do go out to the family.”
