UPDATE: 52-year-old Tomahawk pedestrian hurt

Tomahawk Police say a 52-year-old woman was hospitalized in stable condition Monday after being hit by a car driven by another 52-year-old woman last weekend.

The injury occurred Saturday about 6 p.m. on South Tomahawk Avenue in downtown Tomahawk, Police Chief Al Elvins said.

Heavy rain, the pedestrian being dressed in dark-colored clothing and the pedestrian crossing in the middle of the street instead of a crosswalk contributed to the crash, Elvins said.

The injured woman was taken to a Tomahawk hospital and later transferred to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.

No charges are expected to be filed, police said in a statement.

Tomahawk Police Department officials say lanes are now open after a crash on Wisconsin 86 at Wisconsin Avenue.

They say it happened just before six o'clock Saturday evening.

No other details were immediately available.
