Weston students receive dictionaries

Some Weston students are learning new things with an old tool.

The Everest Optimist Club donated more than 450 dictionaries to D.C. Everest third graders Monday. Students at Mountain Bay school chose words they liked and learned how to look them up.

It's all part of American Education Week. The club has given dictionaries to third graders for more than ten years.

"This isn't just the dictionary there's a lot more in there and we try to teach them how to use it in special ways," said Steve Ryan, a member of the Optimist Club.

Funding for the books comes from the Optimist Club. Each student got a dictionary to take home.
