BRADFORD, Wis. (AP) -- The Rock County Sheriff's Office says that contrary to what it reported earlier, a 14-year-old girl survived a highway collision that killed three of her family members.
The sheriff's office issued a news release Sunday afternoon saying that its earlier report that all four family members involved in Saturday's collision had been killed was wrong.
It attributes the error to a miscommunication between hospitals were the girl and her family members were treated. It says the girl was treated overnight and is in stable condition at American Family Children's Hospital in Madison.
The girl's father, 18-year-old sister and 7-year-old sister died in the crash.
