Sheriff: Drug "shipment" tip leads to arrests

CRANDON (WAOW) – The Forest County Sheriff's Department says a tip that a 32-year-old man was bringing a “shipment of prescription narcotics” to Crandon led to the arrest of two people.

Investigators conducted what they called a controlled buy of prescription narcotics on Nov. 19, leading to the arrest of Roger Thundercloud and Heather Grover, 35, Sheriff John Dennee said in a statement Monday.

The tip to the Forest County Narcotics Task Force involved prescription narcotics being brought from Bowler to Crandon for trafficking, the sheriff said.

Thundercloud and Grover were arrested on suspicion of delivery of narcotics and possession of narcotics, Dennee said.

According to the sheriff, suspects in Jackson and Cecil were arrested on Forest County warrants related to illegal narcotics on Nov. 20.

The sheriff said arrest warrants have also been issued for two other suspects, one in Oneida County and one in Milwaukee.

No other details were immediately released.
