Wausau to allow parade floats downtown

Wausau Events leaders have announced parade floats and vehicles will be allowed to park downtown tonight.

On Thursday, organizers canceled the annual Wausau Holiday Parade due to the cold weather.

Organizers say many people were disappointed so the city agreed to allow a limited number of spots for floats and vehicles to park in downtown Wausau on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Spots will be available at 5 p.m. on the north side of Jefferson Street (spots directly behind the stage on the 400 Block) and east and west side of 4th Street in front of the Grand Theater.
