Wausau man recreates iconic battles with G.I. Joes

A Wausau man is bringing iconic battle scenes back to life using G.I. Joes. Four scenes were constructed--three from World War II and one from the Afghanistan War.

The creator says the scenes accurately portray the battles and are very detailed.

"I think when you look at them, you'll see that they're not only authentic uniforms but there is a lot of detail," said Norbert Normand, the creator of the scenes and owner of Electronic & Computer Solutions, "Some of then have watches, they'll have authentic weapons of the day and things like that."

The scenes will be set up early next week to be put on display at the Marathon County Public Library in Wausau until January 7. Then they will move to the Marathon location.
