Frigid temperatures continue

A mass of cold air is sweeping across central Wisconsin and bringing frigid temperatures, dropping into the negatives. The Wausau Fire Department is warning people to be safe.

Fire officials says besides bundling up, watch where you're walking when there is ice, and keep blankets with you while traveling. They says every second counts with these temperatures if you get hurt.

"You're laying in the snow in minus ten degree weather you're going to get cold fast and on top of your injury you can have hypothermia," said Lt. Wally Olson.

The cold temperatures are expected to last until Friday.
