The bitter cold persists

The bitter temperatures are still hanging around. It's the coldest early December in more than a decade in Wausau.
There were a few flurries Monday, but most people felt the bone-chilling winds, which swept the snow around.
With the constant winds and snow packed roads, drivers like Patrick Meyer are being careful on the roads.
"I have a four wheel drive car and I'm still taking it very easy," Meyer said. "I'm slowing down. I'm not getting too close to people. You have to give them the distance."
The cold temperatures will last throughout the week. The expected high for Wednesday is -1 degrees.
