Pair in pot candy case face multiple felonies

WISCONSIN RAPIDS (WAOW) – Two people arrested following a traffic stop in Marshfield in which 12 pounds of marijuana and some marijuana-laced chocolate candy were seized have been charged with multiple felonies.

Aaron Keuntjes, 25, of Auburndale, was charged with five felonies, including manufacturing and delivering marijuana and maintaining a drug trafficking place, according to online Wood County court records.

Alyssa Clapper, 23, of Marshfield, was charged with six felonies, including manufacturing and delivering marijuana and maintaining a drug trafficking place, court records said.

Both have preliminary hearings Dec. 17 at which time prosecutors will present evidence to convince a judge the charges are justified.

The pair were stopped in separate cars Nov. 19 and investigators seized an estimated $88,000 worth of marijuana, some of it within homemade chocolate candy, police said. The stops were made after investigators said they received a tip.

Keuntjes and Clapper are free on $10,000 cash bonds, court records said.
