Brimfield police chief calls out Kanye West

Brimfield, OH -

An Ohio police chief famous for his department's Facebook posts has taken on Kanye West.

The whole thing started when West told radio show Saturday Night Online how dangerous he thinks his job is, comparing it to being a police officer, or being in a war.

Chief David Oliver was offended by the comparison, and took to Facebook to say why.

"Your line of thinking is part of the problem in the world today…" his open letter reads, "which include entertainers thinking they are something more than just entertainers."

Oliver later told reporters, "I was offended because I just don't think that any entertainer can compare what they do to ducking bullets for a living."

His letter to West also suggests the rapper  "immediately abandon you career as a super star and join the military..." adding sarcastically that West could "quite possibly end all wars, just from the enemy being star-struck."

The post quickly went viral, with more than 42,000 shares and nearly 65,000 likes in less than a day. West has not publicly responded to the post.
