Wausau woman gets 22-month prison sentence

MADISON (WAOW) – A federal judge has sentenced a Wausau woman to 22 months in prison for distributing methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney John Vaudreuil said Tuesday.

Sandra Timm, 44, pleaded guilty to the charge in October, the prosecutor said.

An informant bought methamphetamine from Timm at her home, leading to a search of it last March and the seizure of 25 grams of the drug, Vaudreuil said.

The maximum punishment for distribution of methamphetamine is 20 years in prison.

The conviction followed an investigation that included the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Vaudreuil said.
