Snow and wintry mix expected overnight


A combination of snow and freezing rain is expected in the region tonight.

Current data suggests freezing rain is most likely for areas south of Highway 10, mainly impacting southern Wisconsin.  The majority of Central Wisconsin is expected to receive snow Thursday night and Friday morning.

The National Weather Service will have a freezing rain advisory active for Adams and Juneau counties overnight, along with all of southern Wisconsin until 9 a.m. Friday morning.

The National Weather Service has a winter weather advisory active for Wood, Portage and Waushara counties until 9 a.m. Friday morning as well.

Motorists should exercise caution when driving overnight and during the Friday morning commute hours.
