WISCONSIN RAPIDS, Wis. (AP) -- Authorities say a teenage inmate at the Wood County Jail attacked four jail officers, leaving three with bruises and swelling, before he was subdued with a stun gun.
A Daily Tribune Media report says the officers declined medical treatment afterward.
Prosecutors say the officers were escorting 18-year-old Elijuwon M. Clawson to a court appearance Wednesday. He was being held on allegations of trashing a house and causing $8,000 of damage.
Authorities say he punched one officer in the chest, slammed another into a concrete wall and hit a third in the leg. Officers eventually subdued him with a stun gun. When he was taken to a hospital for treatment he allegedly kicked another officer twice.
Clawson now faces four felony counts of battery by prisoner.
Online court records on Friday didn't list a defense attorney for Clawson.
