Clark County home lost in Christmas morning fire

OWEN (WAOW) - A Township of Hoard home was lost in an early Christmas morning fire, according to Clark County Dispatch.

Owen-Withee-Curtiss Fire District Chief Mark Renderman says crews were called to a house fire on Pelsdorf Ave. at 1:56 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

Renderman says the home was a total loss.

Officials say the couple living in the home escaped with minor scratches and were not transported to a hospital.

Clark County Dispatch officials confirmed they contacted the American Red Cross to assist the couple.

The fire chief says the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

He says Abbotsford and Dorchester Fire Departments assisted, along with Clark County Sheriff's Department. He says the scene was cleared around 9:30 a.m.
