85-year-old Antigo woman killed in fire

ANTIGO (WAOW) -- The Antigo Fire Department says Thelma Bula, 85, was killed in a house fire on Arctic Street Thursday.

Investigators say the fire is not suspicious.

"An exact source of the fire could not be determined as there were multiple ignition sources that could not be excluded," according to a news release from the fire department.

Authorities tell Newsline 9 that firefighters found the woman unconscious inside the home.

Officials say Bula was transported to Langlade Hospital, but was pronounced dead after arriving there.

When the Fire Department arrived, heavy smoke was billowing from the home.

The home is extremely damaged, according to officials.

Fire crews fought the blaze for about four hours until gaining control, according to officials.
