Black ice causes early morning crashes off U.S. 51

MARATHON COUNTY (WAOW) - The Marathon County Sheriff's Department says black ice is the reason for nine crashes Saturday morning.

The crashes happened in the area off State Highway 29 and U.S. 51 in the Rib Mountain area. The sheriff's department says there are no serious injuries.

The crash sites have been cleared.  The sheriff's department is warning drivers to take caution and watch for ice while driving.
