Kronenwetter police no longer transporting stray cats

KRONENWETTER (WAOW) - Kronenwetter police will no longer transport animals that aren't dogs to the Marathon County Humane Society.

Police say the Human Society won't accept the animals from the village.

Last year, the Marathon County Board voted to stop funding the stray cat program. The Kronenwetter Village Board also voted not to pay for it.

Kronenwetter police say they will still transport dogs or cats that need to be quarantined.
