Area library seeing more people because of the cold

As the temperatures plunge, there's a safe and warm place in Wausau that's seeing more people.

Marathon County Public Library officials say the doors are open for those looking to stay warm.

Library leaders say more people have been coming in and taking advantage of the warmth and books that are available.

"We're encouraging anyone who really needs a place to be that they can certainly come in and stay out of the cold in one of our facilities," said Ralph Illick, the Marathon County Public Library Director.

Library leaders say their hours of operation are still the same.
