Wausau Packers fans prepare to brave cold game time temperatures

WAUSAU (WAOW) - Despite the frigid forecast, the Packers faithful will still be out in force at Lambeau Field.

One fan may have a little more faith than most. After finishing service, the pastor at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Wausau is planning to go to the game.

Pastor Gary Froseth says the weather won't be a problem for him.

"I'm looking forward to it," said Froseth. "I'm hoping it will be colder than 13 below, so that I can talk about it forever."

Ted Schmelling of Wausau also says he can't wait to brave the cold.

Schmelling says he has his tickets and his Packers gear all set to keep him warm for the game.

He says the cold isn't anything new to a true Packers fan.

"We're used to the cold weather, even though it might be a little colder than normal," said Schmelling. "Just dress warmly and it's so tight and compact in the stadium that you really don't feel the cold. "

Schmelling says the only ones who should be worried about the weather are the San Francisco 49ers.
