New Wausau IT company hires 100th worker

WAUSAU (WAOW) – A new information services company said it has now hired 100 employees and is calling the development a “huge milestone.”

Massachusetts-based Collaborative Consulting opened in downtown Wausau in November 2011, specializing in software IT jobs in an effort to reduce or eliminate those jobs going overseas.

Its specialists work with large- and medium-sized companies to help them develop software needs for their products and services and to manage data projects.

One hundred employees at the Collaborative Domestic Solution Center is a huge milestone for us,” Senior Vice President John Williams said in a statement Monday. “It is proof that the onshoring model is successful.”

Mayor Jim Tipple called the company a great addition to the local economy.

The company said its goal is to create 200 jobs at the Wausau site.
