The Packers packed up for the offseason Monday after a roller coaster of a season came to an end with a loss in the wild-card game to San Francisco.
The emergence of rookie running back Eddie Lacy as a complement on offense to quarterback Aaron Rodgers is a bright spot for the future. Green Bay (8-8-1) played its best overall when Rodgers wasn't sidelined for seven games with a left collarbone injury.
Defense is once again an offseason question mark. A team that follows a "draft-and-develop" motto could stand to add a couple playmakers, particularly at safety and linebacker. Linebacker Clay Matthews was sidelined for five games this season with a right thumb injury.
Wideout James Jones is among the more notable Packers facing free agency.
