ONEIDA COUNTY, Wis. (AP) -
The Oneida County Sheriff has identified the three people who died in a crash Tuesday on U.S. Highway 51. Officials say Justine Ringberg, 22 of Bayfield, and Raquel Nunez, 22 of New York were a car when it hit a propane tanker.
They have identified the driver of the tanker as Jeremy Ritchie, 22 of Minocqua.
The crash happened around 1:15 p.m. as a winter storm blanketed parts of central Wisconsin with more than six inches of snow.
Officials say the car Ringberg and Nunez were in lost control and entered the northbound lane and hit the tanker.
They say roads were slick at the time of the crash but it is unknown whether that was a factor.
Authorities say the sheriff's department and the medical examiner are continuing the investigation.
