WAUSAU (WAOW) -

The Wausau area is getting ready for the annual Leinenkugel's Adult Pond Hockey tournament.

This is the event's third year. It's held at Sunnyvale Park. Organizers say more than 30 teams will hit the ice this weekend for the round robin style play.

"This is probably one of the most fun tournaments we have in the year probably because of all the work but the satisfaction you can't believe the atmosphere in the tent," said Wausau Visitors and Convention Bureau Director of Sales Dick Barrett. "When the tournament gets going its really kind of exciting."

Organizers say food and drinks will be served. Anyone is welcome to come and watch. All proceeds benefit local youth hockey.
