Wausau Paper being pushed to relocate

MOSINEE (WAOW) - The Wausau Paper Corporation is being pushed to relocate out of Wisconsin by the company's largest shareholder, Starboard Value L.P.

The Wall Street Journal reports the investor is also calling for reducing corporate overhead and asking for a share buyback plan to increase dividends.

On Friday, Starboard said the Wausau Paper Corporation is under performing with its current management team and board. Starboard says the company should replace management and improve financial performance, or sell.

Newsline 9 has reached out to Wausau Paper company, but we have not yet heard back.
