Wausau police: Meth worth $50,000 seized

Wausau police officers have made what they are calling their biggest methamphetamine bust.

Lt. Matt Barnes says the suspect was arrested Sunday after officers made a traffic stop and one pound of crystal meth was discovered in his car.

"The drugs have an estimated street value of between $50,000 and $70,000. It is the biggest bust I have seen of this drug here in Wausau," said Barnes.

Police say the suspect is 41-year old Chee Xiong of Wausau.

According to Marathon County online records, he has been charged with four felonies, including maintaining a drug trafficking place.

His next court appearance is scheduled is Jan. 29 in the Marathon County Circuit Court.

Xiong's bond is $250,000 cash.
