Officials say 3 dead in Langlade County rollover

LANGLADE COUNTY (WAOW) - Langlade County Sheriff's Department officials say three men died in a rollover in northern Langlade County Friday night.

Officials say deputies responded to the crash on Pickerel Lake Road around 9 p.m. Friday evening.

When they arrived, they found a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee overturned and partially submerged in Pickerel Creek.

The driver, Gerald Randerson, 69, of Appleton, and his two passengers, John Cohen, 50, of Combined Lakes, and Daniel Krubeck, 64, of Appleton, were found dead inside the vehicle, according to officials.

Officials say the crash is under investigation. They say the road was snow-covered at the time.

Langlade County Sheriff's Department officials say the initial investigation found that the vehicle was driving westbound on Pickerel Creek Road when it went into the ditch, down an embankment and overturned, broke through the ice and finally came to rest on its roof submerged in the creek.

The Langlade County Sheriff's office was assisted by Pickerel EMS and the Langlade County Coroner's Office.
