Cold heats up business for some companies

Some area businesses find the frigid cold heats up business.

Wausau to go is a restaurant delivery service in Schofield.

The owner tells Newsline 9 they have seen an increase in customers relying on their businesses to avoid going outside.

Baeseman's in Wausau is also seeing a sales increase due to the cold.

Store owner Tom Rossi said the cold started in September and hunters started stocking up on gear and he says it has been non-stop since then.

"I came in this morning and there were people waiting in the parking lot to get in. People don't want to be cold they want to be warm. The cold has been a boost to our business," said Rossi.

He says some suppliers have had a tough time keeping merchandise in stock due to cold across the country.
