MEDFORD (WAOW) -- A man was arrested Tuesday after firing one shot through a window of a home, according to the Taylor County Sheriff's Department.
No one was hurt in the incident on Perkins Street just before 1 p.m. in Medford, authorities said.
According to Sheriff Bruce Daniels, Timothy Phillips, 42, of the Medford area was arrested after officers went to the scene after a woman reported that she had "confronted a man" with a long gun, she tried to persuade him to put it down but he refused.
Phillips entered a home on the W5300 block of Perkins Street and fired one shot through a window before police arrived, investigators said.
An hour standoff occurred before Phillips left the home, surrendered the gun and got into a "brief physical confrontation" with officers before being arrested, Daniels said in a statement.
