WAUSAU (WAOW) -

Wausau police say a car ran a stop sign, sending one person to the hospital.

The crash happened Tuesday evening at the intersection of East Bridge Street and North 7th Street.

Police say a Mazda ran a stop sign, causing a Camry traveling through the intersection to hit it. The Mazda stopped just inches from a house, police said.

The female driver of the Mazda was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, but no one else was hurt, police told Newsline 9. That driver was cited.

Police said there did not appear to be any property damage to the house.
