Weston officials urge residents to run water

Weston officials are hoping some residents will run their water to keep pipes from freezing. Village officials held a press conference Wednesday afternoon, asking for patience during this time.

Officials say you should run your water stream the size of the tip of a pencil. They say if you are having issues, call a 24-hour service operator for help at (715) 359-2876. This number is for Weston residents only.

Public works leaders in Weston say frost is six feet deep in many places and some pipes can be 7-8 feet deep near sidewalks.
