Posted:
EDGAR (WAOW) - With the Olympics in full swing, Edgar Elementary students are going for the gold.

Hallways are decorated like an olympic village. Each classroom represents a country with athletes competing in the games. It gives students a chance to learn about the world around them.

"They are reading about their country, they make foods and can make t-shirts in tech ed for their country," said 5th grade teacher Stephanie Sinz.

The students keep track of the medal count and can earn their own in gym class. At the end of the games, a closing ceremony will be held.
