Portage County Crimestoppers: Criminal damage to vehicles

PORTAGE COUNTY (WAOW) - On February 5th, deputies were called to Amherst High School at 297 Main Street in the Village of Amherst for a report of criminal damage to property.

Two vehicles while parked outside of Amherst High School when a girls' basketball game was playing got severely scratched by unknown persons. It appears both a 2006 GMC Yukon and 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee had been scratched up and down the sides of their vehicles with a sharp metal object.

This random act of violence caused the owners over $2,500 in damage to both vehicles.

If you have any information about this damage or any other crime, you can remain anonymous and still be eligible for a cash reward. Call Portage County Crimestoppers at 1-888-346-6600.
