Another round of winter weather

The National Weather Service will have widespread winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories across the state of Wisconsin active on Monday.

The alerts come in advent of a snow event that is expected to drop several inches of accumulation starting Monday morning across the region.

Winter storm warnings are active for Adams, Juneau, Monroe, Jackson, Clark, Taylor, Price, Ashland and Iron Counties between 3 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday.

Winter weather advisories are active for Marathon, Wood, Portage, Lincoln, Langlade, Vilas, Oneida, Forest, Florence, Shawano, Waushara and Waupaca Counties between 4 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday.

A widespread snow accumulation window of 4 to 6" is expected by Monday night for the majority of the region. Locally, it is possible some locations may see totals closer to 7" by Monday night.

Motorists are urged to use caution when driving on Monday, especially during the commute hours.
