Communities with snow emergencies

Several communities in central Wisconsin have declared snow emergencies, as a band of heavy snow moves across the area.

Wisconsin Rapids officials say no one should park on city streets from 10 p.m. Monday until 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Grand Rapids officials say the snow emergency is in effect there from 2 p.m. Monday until 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Stevens Point has also been added to the list. Officials there are asking people not to park on city street from 6 p.m. Monday until 6 a.m. Tuesday.

City of Schofield and Village of Weston officials have also declared snow removal emergencies. They say no one should park on the city streets from 4 p.m. Monday until 6 p.m. Tuesday.

The City of Adams has also been added to the list. Officials are asking people not to park on city streets from 6 p.m. Monday until 12 p.m. Tuesday.

Those communities say anyone parked on a city street will be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense.
