Olympian talks positive thinking with local students

A three-time US Olympian spoke to local students about what it takes to be a champion Wednesday.

Debbi Sullivan is a Wisconsin native. She visited two Wausau area elementary schools. The race walker's visit is part of the schools' celebration for outstanding student behavior. Sullivan says the best way to become a winner is believing that you can.

"It's best to start with the discipline," says Olympian Debbi Sullivan. "Get your brain, to be positive in everything that you think so that when you're older you don't have to convert everything. It's just natural."

Sullivan completed in race walking during the 1992, 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games and holds the world and american records in several events.
