Wausau technology students show off inventions

WAUSAU (WAOW) - Some high school technology and engineering students are using this brutal winter as inspiration to innovate.

Wausau West High School hosted an open house Wednesday to show off projects students have been working on. One of those projects is a snow removal device. The device would clear your driveway without you moving a muscle.

"Our hope is that you'll be able to go on something, Google maps, and you'll be able to draw a predetermined path on your driveway and then basically you'll just have to hit go," says James Waldman, a senior. "When you hit go the snow blower will go and follow that path, clearing the driveway off."

Students say the open house is also a good way to make connections.
