Woman in hostage case for sex gets plea deal

WAUSAU (WAOW) – A Wausau woman accused of holding two men against their will until one of them had sex with her pleaded no contest to three misdemeanors Friday as part of a plea deal, according to online Marathon County court records.

Terry Boyd, 53, pleaded no contest to disorderly conduct, and a judge agreed to hold the case open for nine months - called a deferred entry of judgment - before handing down a sentence, court records said.

Several other charges, including false imprisonment, a felony, were dismissed in the plea deal, court records said.

Last August, a man called police to a Wausau home. When officers arrived, the men were yelling for help from an upstairs window, saying Boyd refused to let them leave until one had sex with her, police said.

Police said Boyd sat in front of the door and refused to let the men out.

The man who called police later told Newsline 9 that he sought help because he didn't want anyone to get hurt, in part because Boyd's medication had been changed.
