6 bodies found in another Mexico clandestine grave
MEXICO CITY (AP) -
Prosecutors in western Mexico say they have found another clandestine burial site containing at least six sets of human remains.
Several burial sites apparently related to drug cartel killings have been found in the area in western Jalisco state in recent months.
The Jalisco state prosecutors' office announced the most recent find Wednesday. The bodies were found buried near a shrine to the Santa Muerte, or Saint Death, a folk saint which is depicted as a skeleton and whose worshippers often include criminals or drug traffickers.
The shrine is in a town near the Jalisco state capital, Guadalajara.
The Sinaloa cartel and Jalisco New Generation gang operate in the region. Prosecutors say some of the bodies in the latest find appear to be Jalisco cartel members.
