Warmer weather hits central Wisconsin

MARSHFIELD (WAOW) - Central Wisconsin got a little taste of spring today.

Warmer temperatures brightened up the day for many in Marshfield.

People said goodbye to their heavy winter coats and hello to spring weather. Many say the warm weather really lifts their spirits.

For students on spring break like Mallory Villeneuve, sunshine arrives just in time.

“It's a good thing. Makes you want to get out and greet people and smile at people when you walk by them on the sidewalk a little bit more than in the cold winter,”says Villeneuve.

But for Shirley Hein, melting snow is a bad thing.

“I don't want Spring to come too fast because then we're talking flooding and mud. I don't like mud. Sorry. I'd rather have winter than I'd have mud,” says Hein.

People in Marshfield say the don't expect spring to come all at once. They know with this winter, you can't plan on anything.
