Tibetan Monks create art in central Wisconsin

TOWN OF WAUSAU (WAOW) - A group has come to central Wisconsin to bring harmony to the area through art.

Tibetan Monks are visiting Northcentral Technical College Monday through Thursday. The monks are handcrafting a piece of Mandala sand art.

Monday, they began drawing the design. Monks say the art is painstaking work and concentration is key when laying down millions of grains of sand.

The piece takes about three days to create. It will be unveiled Wednesday.
