Rhinelander team to compete for national title

The Rhinelander High School mock trial team took top honors at the state competition in Madison.

"This is such an honor for these nine students. There are only two seniors on the team and this is a very tough competition and they did it," said Rhinelander coach Kathy Vick-Martini.

The students are now preparing for the national competition against the top teams in the United States.

This team is no stranger to winning titles.

Rhinelander won the national tile in 1989 and its teams have won 17 state championships.

The 2014 national competition takes place in Madison May 8-10.
