St. Patrick's Day raffle in Rothschild draws huge crowd

Hundreds of people celebrated St. Patrick's Day a little early.
The Wausau Noon Optimist Club held a St. Patrick's Day raffle at the Rothschild Pavilion Thursday. Club members say it's a fundraiser to raise money for youth programs in the community throughout the year..
Several cash prizes were handed out, the top prize was $10,000. About 700 people attended.
"I think it's really caught on with the general public ,we seem to always have a lot of people that want to buy the tickets and there's always people looking for them after they're sold out," said Wausau Noon Optimist Club President Mike Fischer.
Organizers said they hoped to raise 20 to $30,000.
