Money approved for $7.2 million CWA project

MADISON (WAOW) – The money for a $7.2 million addition to the terminal at Central Wisconsin Airport near Mosinee has been approved, Gov. Scott Walker said Monday.

It represents the second phase of the reconstruction project at the airport, the governor said in a statement.

The money - $5.2 million from the Federal Aviation Administration, $1.5 million from Marathon and Portage counties and $500,000 from the state – will be used to build a 24,000-square foot improved baggage handling area on the terminal's east side, Walker said.

The project will be completed in September, clearing the way for the third phase of the terminal upgrade, the governor said.
