Mother, son convicted of selling oxycodone

MADISON (WAOW) – A northern Wisconsin mother and son pleaded guilty Wednesday to federal charges of distributing the drug oxycodone, U.S. Attorney John Vaudreuil said.

Lois Vetterneck, 54, and her son, Brandon, 37, both of Lac du Flambeau, each face up to 20 years in prison for the convictions, he said. They will be sentenced separately in May and June in U.S. District Court.

Oxycodone is a narcotic commonly prescribed to treat moderate to severe pain.

According to Vaudreuil, two informants purchased the drug on three occasions in April 2013 at the Vetterneck home.
