Journey tribute band to "Rock the 400 Block"

WAUSAU (WAOW) – A Journey tribute band will headline this summer's Rock The 400 Block concert in downtown Wausau, organizers said Thursday.

Separate Ways, formed in 2005, bills itself as “ultimate Journey tribute show.”

The free concert takes place Aug. 22 at 8 p.m., according to Wausau Events Inc.

Journey was an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1973 that reached most of its success from 1978 to 1987, including the hit “Don't Stop Believin'”.

Separate Ways describes its performance of the band as an “accurate portrayal of the Steve Perry era in every way. Experience all the subtle nuances, inflections, harmonies and visual gratifications of seeing the original Journey show.”
