Marshfield burglary suspect turns himself in

MARSHFIELD (WAOW) -- A 19-year-old male suspect in multiple burglaries in the Marshfield area turned himself in late last week, according to Marshfield Police Chief Gary Jepsen.

The suspect also caused an hours-long incident Tuesday evening, resulting in police closing multiple roads, Jepsen said.

Police say officers went to arrest the suspect from a Marshfield home on Adler Road last Tuesday, but that the man managed to jump out of a two-story window and run away before officers surrounded the home. The man had a knife with him that night, Jepsen said.

The man was interviewed about the burglaries, booked and released, according to Jepsen. Charges have not yet been forwarded to the Wood County District Attorney.

Jepsen says the investigation is ongoing and that multiple suspects are involved.
