Bucki trial day 4: Son of murder suspect: My father is innocent

LINCOLN COUNTY (WAOW) -- The son of a Lincoln County man accused of killing his wife and hiding her body in the woods says his father is innocent.

“100 percent, 110 percent actually, he is innocent,” Clint Bucki, 22, testified Thursday in his father's murder trial. The son says initially thought his mother may have committed suicide. Now, Clint says he knows his mother was murdered, but just doesn't know who did it.

Mark Bucki, 50, has pleaded not guilty to three felonies, including first-degree intentional homicide.

Anita Bucki's remains were found in Taylor County a couple of weeks after she was reported missing. Prosecutors say she was stabbed seven times and strangled.

Clint Bucki told the jury his mother was a wonderful person and said he talked to her the day before she went missing, when she seemed upbeat. When asked what he thought could have happened to her, he initially thought it could be possible suicide.

The trial is expected to last nine days.
