More than 90 cats compete in Wausau cat show

WAUSAU (WAOW) - Cat breeders and enthusiasts got their eyes on the finest cats central Wisconsin has to offer.

The Central Wisconsin Cat Club held their 25th anniversary show in Wausau this weekend.

Organizers say more than 90 cats were entered in the four competing divisions.

They say shows are a great place for people to learn more about the different breeds.

"They may want to then come and actually see what the cat looks like in person, see what its personality is like, how it might feel or handle so that's why it's important to come to a show in person," said Donald Finger, the president of the Central Wisconsin Cat Club.

Organizers say there were judges and exhibitors who came from all over the country as well as Canada.
