11 children in Marshfield school bus hit by car

MARSHFIELD (WAOW) - Eleven children riding a school bus escaped injury when a car driven by an 18-year-old woman slammed into the side of the bus at an intersection in Marshfield, according to police.

The crash happened Wednesday about 7:30 a.m. at the intersection of North Maple Avenue and East Arnold Street, a police report said.

The teenager told investigators that when she pulled away from a stop sign she "did not see the bus until impact," the report said.

Police said fail to yield right-of-way and inattentive driving were factors in the crash.

The bus and the car suffered minor damage, the report said. The driver of the car was also not hurt.
